Hasselblads New Phocus Family Offers Efficiency, Versatility, Ease of Use
28/02/2011 Keeping pace with photographers and their evolving work environment and client demands, Hasselblad recently debuted Phocus 2.6, the latest version of its imaging software, and announced two new Phocus products. The three products, each addressing different workflow challenges, all offer efficiency, flexibility, and ease of use.
* Phocus 2.6—available for download now—is Hasselblad's powerful, user-friendly imaging software. Bringing enhanced capabilities and workflow speed, its new cross-platform features include the Dust Removal Tool, Star Rating and Filtering, a sped-up multi-shot viewer and improved quality at lower resolution, in addition to Windows support for TIFF and JPEG files.
Phocus 2.6 available for download now.
* Phocus Quick—available for download now—gives photographers a semi-automated solution for importing and processing RAW files from a CF card to a computer. With the essential strengths of Phocus 2.6, this application lets photographers import images making basic adjustments and creating a backup RAW copy and jpg of each. Files may then be printed or saved for more advanced imaging enhancements at another time.
* Phocus Mobile—available for download from the Apple App store in March—is an imaging app for iPads and iPhones. The new software will connect wirelessly to a Mac running Phocus 2.6, enabling users to remotely browse and rate images. When connected to an H4D, Phocus Mobile will offer full access to tethered shooting with all the H4D's controls.
