One day left. But it’s not over yet, so come and see us: Hall 2.1 Stand A-021 B-020.
23/09/2012 It may be the last day of photokina 2012 today – but what a show it’s been.
For us it’s been momentous. Countless thousands of visitors have browsed our stand throughout the week and those who turn up today can still experience a snapshot of the amazing World of Hasselblad.
On Tuesday we announced a new beginning for the company as we set out plans for our luxury mirrorless camera launch early next year. Lunar is a stunning new state-of-the-art, Italian-designed interchangeable lens camera that takes us into brand new market territory.
We also launched our new flagship H5D medium format camera series, available in December - complete with a new 24 mm lens and macro converter.
Hasselblad fans and enthusiasts from across the world have visited us; got hands-on with our cameras; photographed couture models pouting beside our on-stand black Ferrari California supercar and strutting their stuff on our very own fashion catwalk. They’ve been enthralled by the collective wisdom of photo-greats like Jon Lowenstein, August Bradley and Tom D. Jones at our ‘Hasselblad Presents’ seminar programme.
Our new-look VICTOR Magazine - Photography Book One was praised by press, creatives, photographers and imaging colleagues alike and Hasselblad Masters mingled with stand visitors to talk about their work and the ‘unputdownable’ new Hasselblad Masters Book Vol. 3 - EVOKE.
Paul Waterworth, Hasselblad’s Global Photographer Relations Manager noted, “There is simply no photographic competition in the world quite like the Hasselblad Masters.” And you’ve still got time to see if you agree. Imposing examples of this work are galleried at photokina’s Boulevard of Competitions until the end of today.
And don’t forget you can also see video updates on our amazing week at the Koelnmesse on the photokina channel at HTV (htv.hasselblad.com)
Finally, we need to thank EVERYONE who came to see us and we look forward to renewing that acquaintance at photokina 2014.
